Today was one of those gifts we are given and anyone unable to get out-of-doors to take it in is missing what it is to be alive. Yeah...I know...but it really was an absolute perfect day today. The dogwoods are just about peak here and everything is so very green. Lorrie and I spent yesterday and today working around the property. Gotta get it all done...why...I don't know. I've been pruning trees and getting everything ready for the growing season. There's been spraying, fertilizing, re-potting plants, re-potting cactus. Ouch...
The weather this spring has been so warm and dry that we've been able to get ahead of the game and have nearly gotten all of our landscaping (including the prairie grass fields) prepared.
This afternoon was so nice that I suggested to Lorrie that we stop and head on over to the point. I told her I would grab the hammocks if she would grab some wine. Before I could round up the hammocks she was gone...already over there.
We have some oak trees that we use to hang the hammocks from. I bought the hammocks a number of years ago. They're called "hammock in a bag". I can't remember where I got them from, somewhere on sale I think. Anyway...it's a real pleasure whenever we take the time to enjoy them. Today was one of those days. We stayed over there till nearly dark...even had a fire later in the evening. I shot some video of it, what a great time:
I have learned, that if one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours.
